SEARCHING As I sit here in my little piece of the world I let my mind wander to another time, another existence, another place, far away across lands and oceans. As I travel through the land of my imagining, past billions of stars and billowing clouds I have a sense of freedom coupled with anticipation. Anxiously moving towards the place I know in my heart must exist, somewhere... Suddenly, there you are... Who is she? She has a smile on her face that seems as if it has forever in it. It doesn't disappear as the countless ones I've seen before. She seems to have found something I've been looking for... peace, a sense of belonging, and a feeling of love that would overtake and envelope like a cocoon. Who is he? Look at how he looks at her! He smiles and without speaking a word he professes his undying love for her. He causes her heart to leap and her soul takes flight at the touch of his hand. Here, in this place, I have decided I will stay... someday. I will find my way to this place and my feet will trod on the ground that I will call home. I will take the hand of my true love... someday. HEALING She opened herself to him like a book And he read her from beginning to end. She welcomed his intrusion. He cleared away the dust and cobwebs That had covered her pain And acted as a shield. She had guarded her pain like so many wounds That had scabbed over. Refusing to let outside influences break them open. She didn't want to bleed anymore. But in him she saw a healer And thus, with blind childlike faith, she let him enter . He seemed to possess a Magic His love was a balm. In his eyes there was a warmth like that of the sun.
